Just this morning Olivia, my eight-year-old, and I were at the grocery store. She noticed that a boy and his dad were following the same path through the store. On the way home she remarked on this and speculated on the age of the boy. I said I couldn't really help her there because I didn't know them. Curious about her interest I asked her if she thought the boy was cute. She said yes and then explained, "It would be okay if he was 8 or 9 or 10, but not if he was 6 or 7. That's just too young for me."
